What is Stephen Ministry?

We are all faced with difficulties and challenges in life, and God never intended for us to go through these experiences alone.  Since the summer of 2013, Community Celebration Church in Kasson, has offered a cost-free, distinctively-Christian caring ministry called Stephen Ministry.  Stephen Ministry equips lay people through over 50 hours of training to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to congregation members and the surrounding community who are presently experiencing difficulties and challenges in day-to-day life.  Through the Christ-centered support and formal training given to our Stephen Ministers, they are ready to offer emotional and spiritual care by walking alongside you  while you experience life’s challenges.  On the journey with your Stephen Minister, Christ will provide healing and strength for you to move through those tough times and forward the way He intended.

Stephen Ministers Care For People Facing Tough Times

We all experience challenges in life – times when we could benefit from the support of a caring Christian friend. Stephen Ministers are ready to provide the emotional and spiritual care we need when faced with crisis or difficulty such as…

  • Loss of a loved one
  • Hospitalization
  • Divorce or separation
  • Loneliness or discouragement
  • Spiritual crisis
  • Unemployment or a job crisis
  • A terminal illness
  • Incarceration
  • Aging
  • Birth, adoption, miscarriage, or infertility
  • A chronic illness
  • Relocation
  • Recovery after an accident or disaster
  • And many more

Stephen Ministry is confidential. The identity of those receiving care and what takes place in each caring relationship remain private.
