5th and 6th Grade Youth Program!
To take kids deeper into the heart of God's Word to discover an active faith they can claim as their own!
S.H.I.E.L.D stands for Serving Him: Inner Circle of Evangelical and Leadership Development. This is inspired by the Ephesians 6:11 and specifically Ephesians 6:16 "take up the shield of faith against the enemy". We want to equip kids with knowledge of the Word of God, impress upon them the love of God, and make future "agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
We use a curriculum that is set up to have multiple lesson throughout the year. We focus on life lesson they can use daily, verses to help them through all different situations, and encouragement for this time in their lives. They will fit right in no matter when they join us!
This is reserved for our preteens in either grades 5th or 6th.

Kelsey Gronseth and Anne Ludvigsen
Kelsey Gronseth is one of our staff members. She is married to Isaac and has a little boy named Kittel born December 30, 2016 (named after his great, great, great grandpa who started the family farm in 1860) with another one on the way. She is originally from Tulsa, OK (yep, a southerner). She moved to NC and met her husband, while he was in the Marine Corp, at their church small group. They married, and the rest is history! She has been a Christian since she was IO years old... which is huge part of why the 5th and 6th graders are her soft spot, not to mention a perfect fit since she is just a big kid herself!
Anne Ludvigsen is a member of our church. She is married to Tim, and has four children, Maddie who just graduated, Taylor who is a Freshman at KM, Ryan who is a 7th grader at KM and Brett who is a 5th grader at KM. She grew up in Wisconsin and moved to Kasson in 2002 to be closer to Tim's work. She accepted Jesus as her Savior when she was 9 years old at a VBS camp in Mrs. Junck's back yard. She's spent many years volunteering in kid's ministry, her heart if for each kid to know the abundant love our Savior has for them. And mostly that Jesus loves us today, tomorrow and forever the same, there is nothing we can or can't do to make Him not love us. His Love never, never stops for us! He's that Great!
